  1. The thing about these trade in deals for free iPhones is that you have to be on their most expensive phone plan. T-Mobile for example only offers $1000 off in monthly credits to your bill over 24 months, if you agree to be on their Go5g next plan which is their most expensive plan. If you’re on a family plan this can really add up for 4+ lines. My family just stays on the essentials plan which is $100/mo for 4 lines and buys the phones outright every 3 years or so when it’s time to upgrade.

  2. I don’t usually like to trade in my phone because all it does it lowers my bill I usually just sell me phone privately

  3. I’ve been debating doing this myself but the reason I switched from T-Mobile to Verizon was for the better service. I’m afraid of switching to a carrier like Mint and not getting the same speeds I get now, so I don’t mind paying more for better quicker service and speeds.

  4. That is great I’d use Mint mobile if I wanted to stand next to Ryan Reynolds and text maybe, but if I want service in the actual outdoors I gotta use…..Verizon!
Or my phone is just a paper weight in my backpack.

  5. If you don’t have a few thousand extra dollars lying around, don’t waste your time watching this video, bc it was made by/for ppl who have the means to drop a full $1000+ on a phone in one fell swoop without a care.

Unfortunately, a LOT of ppl simply don’t have enough ready cash (or credit even) to "BUY STRAIGHT-OUT FROM APPLE", hence the reason so many are willing to sign contracts and pay monthly installments.

  6. This is a bit silly. The phone being free from those more expensive companies isn’t to get you to join them to buy the phone. No one does that. Those are free upgrades. So those of us already on those plans it’s free as long as you are ok keeping the phone for 3 years before you are able to get another one. If you aren’t on them or don’t want to be on them then you already know the service is too expensive for you so you aren’t going to join just because you got a phone. Also if you have 5 people on your plan you pay $25 per line for first party service rather than 3rd party. If you have 4 friends you can trust or 4 family members you can do really well.

  7. I hate the "at mint mobile", look at US mobile, visible, or just use boost mobile’s 25$ line, (and if really want a 1-1, use the annual plans that both US mobile and visible have), T-Mobile has bought out mint mobile so there is no longer a "support the little guy" argument, look at the home internet discount with any visible line, and the buy phone outright with carrier deals. Other than an over reliance on mint mobile, good video.

  8. I on a family plan (5 lines) with ATT and also receive corporate discount. So hard to leave this.

  9. Hey there! My name is Daniyal! You might remember me. I’m your biggest fan. I might take you up on that offer. If you can find me a carrier that can support Wi-Fi calling, when the phone is turned off, meaning Wi-Fi calling for iCloud connected devices. Because no small carrier that I know supports that feature and I really love using that feature because I’m on my iPad a lot more than I’m on my phone because of great battery life.

  10. I’m surprised that phones in the US are still locked to a carrier! Years ago Canada made that illegal.

  11. AT&T is the only carrier with the best offer for a new or existing customer: $1000 off with a qualifying trade-in of an iPhone 12 Pro or higher. The only drawback is that it’s carrier-locked and it’s a 36-month eip term.

  12. I am aprehensive with MVNO’s because their ‘cheap’ plans only offer depriority data when the network is congested. I can imaging trying to use google maps while driving in crowded downtowns or trying to get a connection a big festival like cochella.

  13. Is the savings based on the same amount of time? I thought VZW and ATT was for 3 year plans, but the prepaid option was only 2 years service.

  14. Don’t forget you never own the “free phone “ when the lease is up and you want to take your phone outright you will have to pay another 200-400 to truly own the phone

  15. At&t is worst phone carrier i have ever had even worse than tmobile more expensive and doesnt work anywhere in my city

  16. Apple, Should Have Big Discounts On The New I Phones !!! Being Greedy, Will Cost Them New Customers. Wake Up , Apple !!!!

  17. As soon as you mentioned mint mobile to compare to these big threes, you already lost credibility. It’s like comparing Spirit airline VS Delta airline. Or Dollar tree VS Target. You can’t do that. And you have to use 3 years for all carrier to count the total cost. What about the 3rd year? T mobile and Mint just free of charge?
You have to compare apple to apple, Verizon offers you welcome plan to have this deal with trade in, not the most expensive plan. You only pay $40 per line a month.
Verizon cost total is 1440, even Mint is 2080.
Do your research before you post misleading content.

  18. If you job is willing to pay your phone bill, for business purposes. Then is it better to have the phone be added to your plan?
I have Verizon and was just about to switch back to Visible.

  19. theoretically speaking, T-mobile’s plan isn’t that bad. If you subtract the $1000, the plan is about $40 a month if you factor in the $1,200 phone, and you technically don’t have to pay for the phone all at once. Since it is a monthly plan and you’re only paying for the phone service, then there will be no interest (compared to some services that offer payment over time, but charge you interest rates after a year or so). There are certainly plans that are better than $40 a month, but I would say that plan is not bad. Their best plan at $40 a month.

  20. Right now Verizon is giving away with the 16 iphone, a TABLET and a WATCH. so maybe Verizon is the better deal?

  21. You forgot the fact most of the service provided deals require trading in a device which also has value

  22. Always buy outright directly from Apple these companies screw u out of a lot of money damn near 24% intrest

  23. I purchased direct from Boost. Same phone, but with 256GB of storage, so $1100. If you buy from them, you get a year of free service. AND, if you buy outright, they will unlock the phone.

It took under 6 hours to port in my line (10-15 minutes) AND then process the unlock request.

Three years of service will be $1700 if I stay.

I live in an area with Boost coverage as well. Plus I get ATT or TMO if no native Boost towers.

  24. AT&T has the worst customer service, it’s absolutely insane. I got their iPhone 16 upgrade and I was on chat with them for 3 hours trying to get them to explain why my regular monthly bill went up $50 when the iPhone installment was $20 with trade in. No insurance either. Don’t go with them. Save yourself a huge headache.

  25. My wife wants an iPhone, I think we’ll get her the iPhone 16 unlocked and we’ll put it on at&t prepaid

  26. I did find my first "gotcha!"

If you have an account with them and are adding a line to a PostPaid account, Boost does not pro-rate service.

I.E. if you start 2 days before the end of your billing cycle, you are still paying $25 for the last two days of the month.

They will NOT pro-rate the service.

After I took some time to consider, given there are no activation fees compared to other carriers like ATT ($35 IIRC) it’s not a big deal>

Just something to keep in mind if you are adding a line to an existing post-paid account. Add the line at the beginning, not the end of your billing cycle for the best value.
